Located 12km from Pahalgam, Aru is a quiet, scenic village that serves as a base for many treks. The drive itself is breathtaking, with views of the Lidder river on one side and mountains on the other.
Famous for the Bollywood movie 'Betaab', this valley is a lush landscape with a river flowing through it. It's perfect for a picnic and family photography.
A high-altitude meadow surrounded by thick pine forests. You can reach here by a 1-hour pony ride or a challenging uphill trek.
For adventure junkies, white water rafting in the icy cold Lidder river is an unforgettable experience. Generally available from May to September.

Check into your hotel and take a slow walk along the Lidder river. Explore the local market and try traditional Kashmiri tea (Kahwa).
Hire a local taxi for the 3-point circuit: Aru Valley, Betaab Valley, and Chandanwari. Spend at least 2 hours at each spot to truly soak in the beauty.
Start early for Baisaran (Mini Switzerland). Enjoy the meadows and the view of Pahalgam from the top. Head back for your journey to Srinagar or Sonamarg.
